Apps in Switzerland

In preparation for your move to Switzerland, it is useful to install some apps on your mobile in advance. Below is an overview of some useful Swiss apps with a short description.


SBB app: The SBB is one of Switzerland's largest public transport operators, so they also have an app where you can find the best travel listings. It is also possible to link a credit card to the app so you can easily buy your tickets online.

Revolut: The convenient online bank Revolut, of course, also has an app for doing your online banking. Also, Revolut is handy and cheap for exchanging Euros to Swiss francs and vice versa! You can create a free account here.

Bergfex app: Is the all-in-one app for all your outdoor activities. The app contains more than 70,000 detailed hiking and mountain bike routes, running routes, ski tours. Together with offline navigation, you can navigate the Swiss mountains flawlessly.

Swiss snow app: As a skier or snowboarder, it is always good to know in advance how the snow is and what weather conditions are like on top of the mountain. This app clearly shows you this through 360° webcams. It also gives you information on lift opening hours, among other things.

Quickzoll app: Switzerland is not part of the EU, therefore there are rules regarding importing products and goods. For example, if you go shopping in Germany, you have to declare this at customs. You can do this very easily via this app and pay any import duties right away, saving time and frustration at the border.
