This is what your work in Zurich looks like
- You work in a specialized geriatric rehabilitation center with the latest treatment facilities and equipment
- You treat elderly people who are recovering from surgeries, strokes or other medical events that affect their mobility
- You carry out individual therapy sessions, aimed at regaining daily skills and independence
- You supervise group training courses for balance, strength and fall prevention with a maximum of 6 participants
- You coordinate daily with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists and dieticians in a close multidisciplinary meeting
- You'll make use of a fully equipped exercise room, a hydrotherapy pool and modern treadmills
- You coach family members and carers in supporting their loved ones during the recovery process
- You regularly review progress and adjust treatment plans based on the development of your patients
- You work with a digital patient file and register all treatments in accordance with the applicable protocols
- You contribute to the quality of care by participating in team meetings and quality improvement processes
Who are you?
- You have successfully completed your BSc physiotherapy and ideally have a geriatric specialization
- You have an affinity for elderly care and are able to work patiently and empathically with vulnerable patients
- You speak German at level B2 or are determined to reach this level within a few months
- You are stress-resistant and can stay calm and professional even in hectic situations
- You enjoy working in a team and proactively sharing knowledge with your colleagues from various disciplines
- You can be deployed flexibly and find it no problem to work occasionally on the weekend
- You communicate clearly to patients and can explain complex information in an understandable way to elderly people and their families
- You are hands on and take a practical approach to things without thinking long
- You love a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same
