What is the SRK and how do we help?
The Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz (SRK) is the only organization in Switzerland that is authorized to recognize foreign physiotherapy diplomas. Without SRK recognition, you cannot work as a physiotherapist in Switzerland. The process normally takes 9-12 months and requires many specific documents and procedures.

Our digital platform: your personal guide
Instead of endless emails and unclear lists, takeoff gives you access to our digital platform. This has been specially developed for the SRK process and guides you from A to Z.
You get a personalized list of documents based on your profile and country of education, including sample documents so you know exactly what everything should look like. The platform shows your progress in real time and you can ask questions to our team directly. In addition, you'll receive automatic reminders so you never miss a deadline.

PreCheck: we submit on your behalf
The SRK PreCheck is mandatory for everyone, but we make it easy for you. We check that all your documents are complete, submit the PreCheck to the SRK on your behalf, and monitor progress.
Upload your documents to our platform and you'll get our feedback almost immediately. Thanks to our experience, we can immediately see whether your PreCheck will be fine or if the SRK will ask for additional documents.
Once we have reviewed your documents, you can start preparing for the next phase. We'll advise you on additional documents you may need, because every situation is different.
The SRK takes 4-6 weeks to assess the PreCheck, but thanks to our guidance, you know where you stand in advance. We arrange all communication with the SRK for you.
Complete request: prevent errors
Compiling your complete SRK file is crucial. One mistake can delay months, which is why we check everything before it goes to the SRK.
Our in-depth check:
- All documents present and dated correctly
- Translations made correctly by certified translators
- CCPS valid and recent
- Forms completed correctly according to SRK specifications
For you, this means no unnecessary delays, no stress about forgotten documents, and the certainty that everything is correct before we send them.
During the SRK process: we stay involved
While the SRK reviews your file (3-4 months), we remain active. We monitor the status of your request, answer questions that arise, and help with any additional document requests. We also prepare you for possible next steps, such as compensatory measures.
Do you need a B2 language certificate for your SRK recognition?
For anyone who is not a native language of German, French or Italian, or who has not had a (secondary or higher) education where one of these languages was the main language, the B2 language certificate is a required part of the SRK recognition.
Do you still have this in order before you apply for your SRK recognition? Don't worry: you will then receive a temporary recognition that will also allow you to go to work immediately. And in the meantime, you'll learn the language!
